WE Club

About the WE Club

RBC Trinidad partnered with WE, Canada which is a service driven organization whose efforts are helping to lift more than one million people out of poverty in Africa, Asia, and Latin America via WE Charity. Additionally, WE Schools and WE Day provide comprehensive service learning programs to 10,000 schools engaging 2.4 million students in the  United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

In Trinidad and Tobago many schools have started WE Clubs with the aim of encouraging volunteerism and providing service to humanity in various ways.

At ASJA Girls' College Tunapuna, our WE Club is managed by Mrs. Safeeya Baksh-Gyan. Some of the activities of the WE Club has involved focusing on the environment and ways in which they can serve humanity by saving our environment. One initiative has been to reduce plastic waste by getting people to switch to reusable water bottles instead of purchasing disposable plastic bottles.
