Objectives of the Spanish club:
- To help members improve their Spanish language skills (speaking, reading, listening and writing) outside of the classroom environment by participating in Spanish activities that are both educational and FUN.
- To provide the opportunity for members to increase their knowledge and awareness of the Spanish speaking world as they learn more about the Spanish language, culture and lifestyle that surrounds it.
- To increase interest, understanding and appreciation for the Spanish language and Hispanic culture by the student body of ASJA Girls’ College, Tunapuna.
-To encourage the use of the Spanish language at ASJA Girls’ College, Tunapuna.
Membership Requirement:
This club is exclusively for students of ASJA Girls' College Tunapuna. Only a maximum number of 30 students can be accommodated per term.
Meeting Date and Time:
Once weekly during the lunch break.
Club Activities:
Club activities include movies, food, music, singing, games, art and craft, drama, Spanish readings, conversations and presentations, field trips.
Club Requirements:
-Members must attend club meetings. When absent a valid excuse must be written and sent by a parent/guardian. If any student is absent for more than three meetings, their membership will be terminated.
-ALL members must participate in the club activities as participation is key to the success of the club.
Spanish Club Offices
Members will vote to select the following officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Public Relations Officer.
